Welcome to Scouting in Abingdon, Didcot and surrounding villages!

We provide a high-quality programme to hundreds of young people across Abingdon, Appleton, Chilton, Didcot, Dry Sandford, Hagbourne, Harwell, Marcham, Kingston Bagpuize and Sutton Courtenay.

We’re Thames Ridge Scouts and everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Every week we give almost 1,500 young people aged 6-25 the skills they need for school, college, university, a job interview, an important speech, or that tricky challenge and all their big dreams: the skills they need for life.

You don’t need to be Bear Grylls to join us. You don’t need to have been a Scout as a child. You don’t even need to enjoy camping.  We have volunteers of all ages, genders, races and backgrounds, and we’re only able to do what we do because people like you are able to help us out. If you would like to volunteer with us or any of the groups in the district please visit our volunteer page.
